We're Recruiting A Full Time PCV / HGV Mechanic or Technician

 

Who are we looking for?

 

We are looking to recruit a qualified and experienced PCV / HGV mechanic or technician.

Principle duties will include service and safety inspections, MOT preparations, the diagnosis and rectification of vehicle faults with a first time fix policy. You will also be required to recognise and report vehicle component defects or symptoms which are likely to affect the reliability and safety of our fleet.

Based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, Marchant’s Coaches is a family business operating since 1948.

 

In addition to private coach hire we operate a day excursion programme throughout the year, U.K & European tours, theatre trips and dedicated school bus services with a modern fleet of buses & coaches, ranging from 8 to 77 seats in both standard & executive specification.

Our modern, mixed fleet of buses and coaches, consists of Daf, Mercedes-Benz, Scania and Volvo vehicles.

We are passionate about our clients and delivering the highest levels of customer service with a team of dedicated, friendly and committed professional drivers, operations staff and engineers.

 

A little bit about you

 

The successful applicant will need to be an enthusiastic and motivated individual, who works well as a team player but who gets the job done, working under their own initiative, to help service and repair PCV vehicles at our Prestbury Road Depot in Cheltenham.

 

Training & Qualifications

 

You should ideally be qualified to one of the following levels.

· PCV or HGV City & Guilds

· BTEC or NVQ Level 3

· Ideally hold a full car licence and a PSV licence is preferable but not essential. Training to obtain you PSV licence can be offered.
